I'M BACK!

Ugh, hello guys. Wow. It has really been a long time since I last made a decent post here in my blog. For the record, I think my last decent post was two months ago! Haha. And the reason...? Erm, just the same blah-blahs that I told you in last April's "Kamusta naman ang FIRST DAY?!" post. Think of all those requirements and paperworks that I have been talking about ever since the world began, multiply it by 10, and then you'll get the picture of what I have been doing since June. Imagine the stress, the horrors, and the sleepless nights... Well, ganyan talaga ang nursing. Tanggap ko na rin! Hahaha.

Anyhoo, I would like to apologize for not living up to the promise of making a post here in my blog for my 18th birthday (August 14). It's just that, we were sooooooooooooo preoccupied with the preparations for our Capping, Pinning and Candle Lighting Ceremony held on the 17th, which in turn, proved to be a success. I'll try to post my pictures so that you could see what happened there.

Moving on...expect to see changes here in my blog as the days go by. I'm planning (er, wanting) to do a major overhaul/redesign. Not saying that I don't want my current design, but I just want to grow out of it. You know, the colors and stuff... Hahaha! Basta I'll TRY my best to fix everything that I have left here if I HAVE the time. So there.

By the way, maraming salamat po pala sa lahat ng bumibisita dito sa blog ko kahit walang nangyaring kaganapan for the past months. Naaappreciate ko yun sobra. Blog friends, I'm BAAAAACK! Yun lang. Take care, and may God bless you all!

The Four Shades of Nursing Life

I know this is a bit "off" from what I usually post here in my space. It's just that, I'm at the heat of the moment with the loads of requirements and stuff that I have right now. And to match the pressure, I did this; so as to encourage myself to be strong and continue with this kind of life. Sabi nga nila...sa Nursing, "Hindi ka lang pumili ng kursong kukunin mo. Kundi, pinili mo na rin kung anong buhay ang papasukin mo".

To tell you frankly, nursing wasn't really my first choice to begin with. I really despised it from the very thought of me putting and indulging myself into it. Heck, I even cried buckets wanting to get out of too much pressure from 'choosing the right course'. Well, that was a few years ago!

Fast forward to the present (two years later), who would've thought that I'd be loving this whole nursing thingy rin pala? After two fruitful years of community and hospital exposures, I've come to the point of realization that nursing really is for me; and I'll do everything that it'll take me to finish this! Nandito na ako eh, so wala na akong magagawa kundi gawin kung ano ang tama...and that's to finish what I have started.

Oh, hullo everyone! I'm back once again with this new "Mood SINGS..." thingy of mine for the month of May. And now, I bring you with Bethany Joy Lenz's Halo...

"Halo" is included in the 'One Tree Hill: Friends with Benefit' album (which by the way, was produced and is being sold to benefit the development of breast cancer research. So please do buy a copy for yourselves and all your friends. Not only will you enjoy listening to the great music that this cd has to boot, but you will also help other people who are struggling to fight breast cancer. I thank you, bow! Nagpromote eh, ano? Haha! Ü), along with a lot of other amazing tracks from the show. Anyhoo, 'Halo' is my personal favorite from the disc because of its good 'you-got-me-all-wrong' lyrics (awwww...), and not to mention it is sung by Bethany with all the sincerity of her character (Haley) from One Tree Hill. Plus, I really liked her from when she first caught my attention at that 'Bring it On Again' movie as a dumb blonde wannabe cheerleader up to when I started religiously watching One Tree Hill; so I think that somehow puts an extra "edge" to it apart from the other tracks in the album.

Now, for my take on its lyrics: Yun kasi yun eh, madaling maka-relate 'dun sa kanta. It's like, a sincere way to tell the whole world that you're just being true to yourself; that others may be blinded to see you as perfect and all, but you're trying to tell them that you're not. It's a four minute episode of showing how weak we humans are, and how we need acceptance, love, recognition and respect despite all of our flaws...which is the reality of life! Ü
